I have a friend who left Lagos about two month ago , he is a DJ and he had to moved back to Ondo , I have another friend also who left Lagos , it is going to six month now and he is now currently living in Benin , his hometown.
Yesterday , I was having a chat with a guy and he demanded for three thousand naira and as a hustler , I replied him and said " my brother na , Naija we dey , me mysef , I need 3k , may Almighty God find you favor then he stopped messaging me.
Lagos is one of the most expensive place you can live in except you have something to put on the table , scarcity of jobs , high cost of feeding and transportation.
How can you survive in Lagos?
First , you need to have a plan , what exactly do you have that can make you survive
1 SKILLS / JOB
I was chatting with a friend two days ago and he shared some confidential matters that I can tell you but I advised him to go and get a skill because jobs most time cant give you what you really , I have an experience of a two month job I did and I was not paid and I had spent more than 10k on transport and feeding and the man in charge was not ready to let me go, I had to leave because what do I gain from the job and I knew that if he was going to pay me it will be later.
2 Land
You can be an estate consultant nd if you are interested in making money by selling land , just reach out to me here and we can work together.
3 Business
I appreciate market sellers and business individuals who go into product that gives them the money they actually want and they are making it.
4 Talent
What exactly is your talent , if you can do the three things that have been mentioned earlier , is it singing , dancing , acting and others , what are you good in because what is currently trending that can give you money is the gift of talent and you need to discover it for you to survive in Lagos.
5 Investment/Networking
You might not want this but investment and networking really pays for so many lagosians and if you have a friend who is into ask them how they go about it and take risk . who knows what will happen tomorrow.
6 Savings
I read a book that talks about the power of savings and I encourage you to also save , spend less and save more to avoid so many issues and be financially independent to do other things.
